Back in May, Graeme attended the Danish Conference on the Wellbeing Economy at the University of Copenhagen.
The conference was organised by Wellbeing Economy Alliance Demark – a cross-society network of actors including The Danish Research Institute for Democratic Businesses who work to promote a wellbeing economy in Denmark.
Over the last decade in Denmark, employee ownership has been brought into focus across the political divide as a means of solving problems for both businesses and society. It was against this backdrop that Graeme joined the conference.
During a presentation and debate on co-ownership, he delivered a session entitled ‘Enhanced wellbeing and productivity at the workplace: When employees own their own workplace.’
The following debate sparked plenty of fascinating questions, enabling Graeme to share the benefits of EO and the transformative effect it’s having on businesses here in Britain.
After the conference concluded, he sat down and chatted about the advantages of EO with a journalist from Altinget – a popular Danish online newspaper read extensively by politicians.
Through his parliamentary appearance and at the conference, Graeme’s messages on EO were delivered to a cross section of important actors in Denmark. This included the central trade union organisation, politicians, civil servants from the business authorities, and many more.
