Demonstrate Your Employee Ownership Pride Ahead of EO Day

We’re rapidly approaching the twelfth annual EO Day, uniting the sector to celebrate the power of Great EO.

The theme for this year's EO Day is #ProudlyEO. If that sounds familiar it’s because it’s taken from the unifying ‘Proudly EO’ badge. Fifty businesses have already adopted the badge, adding it to their websites, marketing materials, and more.

If you belong to an EO business, download the badge ahead of this year’s EO Day on Friday June 21 to showcase pride, community, and the wellspring of benefits offered by employee ownership.

EO Day Inspiration

To get you fired up ahead of EO Day, here’s five businesses that have deployed the Proudly EO badge on their websites:

  1. Scott Bader
  2. Swann-Morton
  3. Go Ape
  4. Business Computer Solutions (BCS)
  5. Alfa Travel

What Businesses Have Done for EO Day

Every year, you impress us with the creative ways you share and showcase your pride in EO.

Previous years have seen businesses bring employee owners together with cake, BBQs, visits from ice cream vans. There’s even been axe throwing!

Businesses also write blogs and create a buzz on social media, while others invite local MPs and business leaders to join their celebrations. If you’re interested, we can help you reach out.

You can also send out a press release linked to an employee ownership milestone.

By raising awareness and creating a media storm around EO Day, we all benefit. Let’s show the rest of the nation the power of employee ownership.

Here’s five ways that members celebrated EO Day over the past 5 years:

2023 – #EOEffect – here’s a video of lots of members celebrating EO Day, including Gripple who invited local businesses and the Mayor for networking.

2022 – #GrowEO Newhall Publishing got creative on social media animating the EO Day Grow EO logo with a series of pertinent messages.

2021 – #BetterTogether – Parfetts branded its workspace and got a huge cake to share during a company update their celebrations with members.

2020 – #EOistheAnswer – the year we went digital for EO Day during Covid, Seetec connected with employees at home by sharing the word they most strongly associate with EO.

2019 – #EODay – ‘Spread a smile’ saw businesses donate to the Give a Healthy Smile appeal – plus in Scotland, Glasgow-based P4P Creative toured its EO Spread a Smile props and took photos at city sites!

Search the above hashtags on socials to see even more from previous EO Days.
