The impact of attending the Robert Oakeshott Lecture (ROL) is fourfold. Not only can you help us celebrate the history of our eccentric founder, you’ll also benefit from international thought leadership, community building, and get a front-seat view on the future of employee ownership.
An Inspiring Speaker
This year, the lecture is sponsored by Arup and will be delivered by US economic sociologist and Harvard alum, Joseph Blasi.
With expertise in public policy, corporate governance, and the social and economic history of the corporation, Joseph will bring a wellspring of expertise and insight.
He joins a history of high calibre speakers who’ve headlined previous lectures, including Mathew Taylor, CEO of the NHS Confederation; Sir Charlie Mayfield of the John Lewis Partnership; and former Deputy Prime Minister, the Rt Hon Nick Clegg.
Is it possible to organise an economy with EO at its heart?
This year’s lecture will tackle the big ‘why’ question about the relevance of employee ownership for society and democracies.
Joseph will argue that, utilising different levels of EO, it’s entirely possible in close-held corporations and large listed corporations – on top of the strong SME base that makes up the majority of the EO sector.
The lecture will examine research showing how this shift can take place with a detailed discussion of what public policy needs to do to accomplish a broad-based EO economy in the near future.
Insight and Reinvigoration
Join us in London this September for shared learning, insight, and inspiration.
Whether you’re looking to reinvigorate your EO energy, see what’s next for the sector, or get perspectives you won’t find anywhere else, the Robert Oakeshott Lecture is the place to be.
Spaces are limited, so book now to avoid missing out.
