My roadmap to becoming an effective Employee Trustee
Sam Moles and Dave Robbins became Employee Trustees at Stephens Scown, to ensure the 330-strong legal team who became employee owners in 2016 all have a voice.
But gaining traction with the board and embedding employee voice in key decision-making wasn’t quite so straight forward.
Fast forward 12 months, Sam, Dave and fellow Employee Trustees have been on a journey to develop their skills and confidence in their role. They have earned the respect and trust of both their main board and co-owners, and are bringing about meaningful change.
Join Mark Shepherd, People Development Director, Sam Moles and Dave Robbins both Employee Ownership Trustees at Stephens Scown to learn:
- Stephens Scown’s approach to developing and coaching their employee trustees and lessons learned along the way.
- How Stephens Scown defined the roles and responsibilities of an employee trustee.
- Their approach to establishing the right forums and structures to improve communication and collaboration between the trustees, employees and the board.
- The employee trustee’s role in defining and implementing the behaviours that underpin ‘Scownership’.
