20/20 Business Insight (Trading As 20/20 Project Management)
SPEAKER
After beginning his career in the Royal Engineers, where he served on operations worldwide and completed the All Arms Commando course, he developed a strong foundation in leadership, delivery under pressure, and developing people in complex environments. His military experience shaped a practical, values-led approach that continues to influence his leadership style in business.
In 2012, he transitioned from the Armed Forces into the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB), working closely with engineering design and procurement organisations across the Oil and Gas sector. In this role, he focused on raising capability and consistency within project delivery teams, using targeted training interventions to strengthen performance and professional standards.
He joined 20/20 in 2014 as a Business Development Manager and was appointed to the Board in 2018, shortly before the company’s transition to employee ownership. Appointed CEO in 2021, he has led the business through a period of significant growth and transformation. Under his leadership, 20/20 became 100% employee owned, increased revenue by more than 40%, broadened its service offering to better support client project needs, and was recognised as Employee Owned Business of the Year 2025. He is a strong advocate for employee ownership as a sustainable model for long-term success, engagement and shared accountability.
A Fellow of the Association for Project Management (FAPM), he is deeply committed to supporting others through periods of transition and change. This includes helping veterans move successfully into civilian project roles, advising leaders on succession planning, and enabling employee-owners to fully engage with and contribute to the future of their business. Drawing on his own experience, he is particularly passionate about creating clear pathways for progression, building leadership capability, and ensuring people feel invested in the organisations they help to shape.
He has been married to Gemma for 13 years and has two children, Bella (10) and Joseph (9), along with their dog, Bentley. A keen sports enthusiast and lifelong Arsenal supporter, he has persuaded Joseph to follow the same team. He is also drawn to demanding endurance events and has completed three Ironman triathlons, the Marathon des Sables, and numerous ultra-running challenges.
