UK EO Awards – 50 days to go register now!

With 50 days to go until nominations close for the UK EO Awards we’re urging your business to apply before you fly or at least register before many of you pack you cases for the summer holidays.

The Awards, which close for entries on Thursday 7th September soon after summer holidays conclude, have more profile than ever and celebrate the significant contribution and impact employee owned businesses make to the UK economy and recognise the productivity, innovation and excellence driven by teams and individuals in employee owned businesses.

Managed by the Employee Ownership Association, the Awards are sponsored by leading EOA member Baxendale, an employee owned business specialising in providing support to, and raising finance for, employee owned businesses, public service mutuals and social enterprises.

We are delighted this year to include a brand new award, the Employee Owned Positive Impact Award which will recognise the contribution made by employee owned businesses, over and above their bottom line financial success. Could this be your business? Businesses can apply for more than one award. For our 5 other categories below you can find out more on our UK Employee Ownership Awards 2017 Awards page as well as see the stories of last year’s winners in our 2016 award winners section:

  • Employee Owned Business of the Year
  • Employee Owned Rising Star of the Year
  • Employee Owner of the Year
  • Employee Owned Innovation of the Year
  • Philip Baxendale Fellowship Award

CEO of the EOA Deb Oxley said: “This opportunity to share your success not only helps to raise the profile of your business but shines a light on the employee owned sector as a whole and the contribution of theses businesses to the UK Economy.

Baxendale Managing Director, Campbell McDonald, says: “Now more than ever our economy needs businesses that are outstanding in every way.

“Employee owned businesses innovate and out-perform the competition by putting people at the heart of their approach. Done right, employee ownership can transform not just the bottom line, but also workforce culture, corporate behaviour and community impact. As public trust in boardroom ethics drops ever lower, the country is crying out for more businesses that create a wider positive impact in our economy and society.”
