#EODay countdown to share why business is better together

The EOA is asking members and supporters to share why business is #bettertogether for EO Day 2021.

Today marks the 100 day countdown to EO Day 2021, which takes place on June 25.

The EOA is asking its members and supporters to mark the annual celebration by making some noise about how individuals, business or economies are better together because of employee ownership.

The annual campaign celebrates Employee Ownership and Employee Owned businesses in the UK, raising awareness of the benefits of employee ownership as a business model as well as the social and economic benefits it brings to employee owners.

Each EO Day thousands of employee owners and supporters of EO raise awareness of the benefits of EO as a sector on social media.

For the second time, EO Day will be celebrated digitally to help with social distancing measures while COVID-19 restrictions are in place, though if conditions for the governments current roadmap are met the employee-owned sector may be able to celebrate #EODay 2021 in person this year.

Deb Oxley, CEO of the EOA, said:

“This year we’re celebrating how employee ownership helps to bring people together, within businesses and within the EO community. In the dramatic circumstances of the last year we’ve seen how employee ownership can support economic resilience, wellbeing and promoting good business practices, showcasing how business is better together.

“Our members and supporters never cease to amaze us with the creative ways in which they celebrate EO Day and we can’t wait to see what they come up with this year.”
