At the start of 2021, Agulhas became an Employee-Owned Trust. They are now owned and run by those who know Agulhas and our values best – their people.
Agulhas’ principles are central to everything they do as an organisation. After almost 20 years building a company based on these values, becoming an Employee-Owned Trust will ensure that Agulhas continues to grow and be nurtured by those who embody these values, ensuring a sustainable future for the company.
As an Employee-Owned Trust, employees will be invested in Agulhas Applied Knowledge for as long as they work for the company. The Trust will be managed by a Board, who represent all shareholders and are responsible for ensuring employee interests. A Board of Directors will continue to run the organisation and be accountable to the Trust Board. A Staff Forum will advise the Directors and the Trust Board, ensuring employee representation in decision-making and the future of Agulhas.
