EOA Launches EO Trustee Search to help EO businesses build good governance

The EOA has launched the EO Trustee Search to support EOA members to recruit Independent Trustees.

The new suite of services provides three distinct options for employeeowned businesses seeking to acquire the services of an Independent Trustee to help them deliver robust governance

The EOA believes that employing an Independent Trustee, on the employee ownership trust,  provides objective insight and support to represent the interests of the business’ employee owners and deliver on the purpose of the business.

As well as the EOA’s selfservice option, two EOA members have partnered with other organisations to offer two additional propositions – JGadd Associates has partnered with Russam, and Eternal Busines Consultancy has partnered with Boardroom Advisors.

The EOA offers a self-service trustee search via the member platform the EO Hub. This offers individuals a chance to showcase their credentials to be considered for independent trustee posts and offers businesses a chance to share their independent trustee vacancy.

While Eternal Business Consultancyhas partnered with specialist non-executive services firm Boardroom Advisors to offer The Independent Trustee Placement Service. The service aims to help employee owned businesses find the best-fit Trustees with a unique delivery model that offers flexible support and costs to suit different needs.

In addition, JGadd Associates, independent advisors who offer a range of employee ownership services supporting transition, governance and culture, that helps bring employee ownership to life. They have partnered with executive search experts Russam to provide an independent trustee appointment service drawing on a large pool of high calibre individuals.

Deb Oxley OBE, Chief Executive of the EOA, said:

These services answer the call from our members who told us that support in sourcing an independent trustee was one of the top three things they would like the EOA to deliver.

Not only do the services offer businesses three different options to help their trustee search, it also offers our members the chance to develop individuals by them becoming independent trustees for other EO businesses.

You can find out more about these three services on the new EO Trustee Search page on the EOA Website here, this page will sit under a new category of “Member Services” that the EOA will continue to expand as it develops its offer.
