Built environment sector to gather for EO Day event

Representatives from the built environment sector are invited to an event to explore, celebrate and champion employee ownership for EO Day 2019.

The event, which is being hosted by Arup and builds on the successful event in 2018, will take place in the week of EO Day on Wednesday 26 June.

The event for employee owners and representatives from businesses that are interested in employee ownership will get the chance to:

  • network with peers
  • take part in a panel discussion on the topic of culture, involving three employee owned businesses from the built environment
  • hear a presentation from Allford Hall Monaghan Morris on their transition to employee ownership and future plans

Deb Oxley OBE, CEO of the Employee Ownership Association (EOA) said: “It’s great news that members from this employee owned sector have chosen to continue and further develop this event in its second year.

“Businesses operating in the built environment have become one of the fastest growing employee owned sectors with 18% of the AJ 100 largest businesses and 20% of the EOA’s membership now made up with businesses from that sector.

“This event is a must for those who like to share best practice with their peers.”

On the run up to the event the EOA is looking to measure the growth of employee ownership in the built environment if you are employee owned and in this sector, please fill out this short survey (5 questions). The results will be shared at the event: Click here.
