Pat BRENNAN

Pat is the Independent Trustee Director of Cleantec Services, an industry leading contract cleaning company with over 2,000 employees across the country. Cleantec has come to specialise in the education sector but now serves an increasingly wide variety of commercial and public sector organisations and has done for over 20 years.

Pat joined the business when it transitioned to employee ownership in March 2021 and has been involved in helping to put in place the governance and employee engagement activities to ensure everyone across the business sees the benefits of being employee owned.

Prior to joining Cleantec, Pat spent over 40 years in the banking and financial services sector during which time he held a number of leadership roles and supported a wide range of owner managed businesses helping them build enterprise and social value. He was also a trustee and chair of Peace Hospice Care based in Watford which looks after people with life limiting conditions and is now a Vice Patron of that Charity.

He is also a trustee of South Mill Arts, a museum, theatre and community hub serving the people of Bishops Stortford and the surrounding area in Hertfordshire.

Alex joined the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) as Director of Policy and Insights in March 2022. In this role he is responsible for developing BCC policy positions; engagement with government officials; and for the BCC’s extensive business insight programme.
