Displaying their committed EO culture, we’ll hear from a range of colleagues from Pennine Healthcare, an SME manufacturer in Derby, about how they turned the business around since becoming employee owned in February 2021. Employee owners from across the business will share the strategy behind their transformation, who had been involved, and how collectively the team have achieved such success.

Living Wage Foundation Director

Katherine joined the Living Wage Foundation as Director in March 2016. The Living Wage Foundation oversees the Living Wage movement in the UK and accredits employers who pay all direct staff and regular contractors the real Living Wage.Since Katherine joined, the number of Living Wage employers in the UK has grown to 14,000 including 50% of the FTSE 100 and thousands of small firms.

CleanTec Services is an employee owned, industry-leading contract cleaning company with over 2,000 employees across the country. CleanTEC has come to specialise in the education sector but now serves an increasingly wide variety of commercial and public sector organisations and has done for over 20 years.

Chris Turner is Executive Director of B Lab UK, the charity building the B Corporation movement in the UK. Chris is also Campaign Director of the Better Business Act, aiming to change the law to ensure every company in the UK aligns their interests with those of wider society and the environment.

Alex Veitch

Director of Policy and Insights, British Chambers of Commerce.

Alex joined the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) as Director of Policy and Insights in March 2022. In this role he is responsible for developing BCC policy positions; engagement with government officials; and for the BCC’s extensive business insight programme.
