EOA appoints new Director of Membership

The Employee Ownership Association (EOA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Deb Tate as Director of Membership.

Iain Hasdell, Chief Executive of the Employee Ownership Association said: “This is an exciting time for employee owners and employee owned business and I am delighted that we have someone of Deb’s calibre, experience and contact base joining EOA. We are committed to supporting our members and highlight the benefits of employee ownership and Deb’s role will be crucial in promoting the growth of employee ownership in the UK.

He continued: “There are fantastic examples across the country of employees in large and small organisations truly engaging in the future of the businesses they work in. We need to bring these to the fore so that people understand the benefits of co-ownership – both for staff well-being and for the bottom line.”

Deb said: “I am excited to be joining the EOA at such an important time for the sector. As a trade association, our role is to support and develop our members and the landscape in which they work. We need to capitalise on the political consensus on the value that co-ownership brings to business and help even more businesses move into employee ownership.”

Deb joins the EOA from thinkingplace, a UK place marketing specialist consultancy which she founded in 2006. Prior to that she had senior marketing roles in the urban regeneration sector where she successfully managed a 100+ strong membership scheme and in the telecommunications industry.
